A Shed That Finally Makes Sense

How a Fairfax family turned two years of buildup into a space that actually works for their everyday life.

Not Just a Dumping Ground Anymore

For this family of four, the backyard shed had become the place where everything went: beach gear, lawn tools, party supplies, bikes, bins, boxes… all piled on top of each other.

After two years of “we’ll get to it later,” it was overflowing—and totally unusable.

We helped them empty it out, sort through what they had, and toss what wasn’t serving them anymore. Once we could actually see the floor again, we created clear zones: seasonal stuff in labeled bins, bikes along the wall, everyday lawn tools right up front.

Now, they can find what they need without digging—and it’s no longer a stressor looming in the backyard.
